ABOUT
Kaja graduated from the Academy of Fine Art in Warsaw, with MFA in Graphics.
She spent a few years of her life
in the United States. She operates with various techniques, from ink and pencil through lithography to computer clipart and graphic design.
Kaja is also an educated musician with a degree in classical guitar and an educated and experienced teacher of art and music.
As a reflection of Kaja’s dualistic life path, “The Ballet School” pictures the unique art of ballet, combining elements of music and visual arts. In her cycle, she portrayed the collision between the preliminary brutal practice and the final effect of lightness in performance. The cycle was exhibited in Katowice Theatre(Teatr Rozrywki), "Galeria U" in Warsaw and in other venues. She also showed her work in New York, with the piece "The Dancing Angel” - a continuation of "The Ballet School" theme - sold in an auction held by nAscent Art.
Some of Kaja’s publications include cover design and ink illustrations for children’s book, “Finding Your Voice” - a symbolic bilingual tale by Elisa Varano and Jenny Shannon and historic graphic novel “The Rabbi” – published in Polish and English and dedicated for school curriculum.
In years 2011-2017 she co-led a music and art education studio in Warsaw - New york Studio of Music & Art (aka Miasto Gitary), where she taught classical guitar and fine arts. She also co-created the brand image and co-managed the studio. Her marketing experience also includes work of a Sales Manager for renowned language learning program "Rosetta Stone".
Kaja's professional experience includes many years of work as a teacher, graphic designer, illustrator and musician. She recorded soundtracks for film music by Michał Lorenc and worked with Janusz Kapusta in Javits Center, New York. She has also taught English and done translations from English to Polish and vice versa.
